The Barça coach is not taking Espanyol lightly under their new coach Constantin Galca

FC Barcelona face their first challenge of 2016 in the form of the Catalan derby against Espanyol on Saturday.  Coach Luis Enrique made his first appearance of the year in the press room at the Ciutat Esportiva clear in his team's determination to build on 2015's historic success. "We know how difficult it is to win again after having won trophies, but these players never get tired of winning.

"Our objective is to keep competing, improve certain aspects of our game and come to the end of the season with a chance of winning everything," said the Barça boss.

Luis Enrique admitted: "The derby is always a special game and for any Barça player it is nice to beat the city rivals and that will never change." The Asturian went on to comment on other topics detailed below:

Espanyol

"[New coach] Galca did a great job at Steaua. I know and his taste for good football, you can see his influence already and Espanyol will undoubtedly make it tough for us."

Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal

"They are two players I consider very important and they can play in different positions, are technically complete and have the personality to be Barça players."

"They enrich the squad and bring the competition that we need in the first team."

Luis Suárez's form

"I am not surprised about the number of goals he has scored. We all knew he was a great goalscorer, not just because of his career but also because of his quality. I had not doubt and he will always be a goalscorer."
