The US Treasury has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being corrupt, while Putin has been encouraging his cabinet to work harder against corruption. Is there any way of knowing where the corruption lies?

Russian President Vladimir Putin is corrupt, according to a US Treasury official's comments Monday to the BBC.

The country as a whole needs to do a better job of tackling corruption at all levels, President Putin in turn told his cabinet Tuesday.

Russia has long been plagued by allegations of corruption, but how much of a problem is it, and how does Russia compare with other countries?

WNU Editor: Corruption exists everywhere .... it is part of the human condition. I guess it is a question to what degree and on how deep the culture of corruption exists. In case of Russia .... there will be an accounting one day on the wealth that Putin, his family, and his friends have accumulated over the years. I do not know when will that day happen .... but I know that it will happen, and it will be handled internally without any input from the US Treasury Department. And as for the US Treasury Department .... instead of focusing on Putin they should focus more on Washington's political elite and their families ... specifically on how they have accumulated their wealth over the years. But .... my prediction is that it is not going to happen.

Chaos at 1004 Estate as former facility manager tried to shut down power to the estate

There was chaos at 1004 estate, Victoria Island, Lagos this night after a bunch of thugs organized by Samuel Ukpong, the former facility manager of 1004 attempted to take over the power plant of the estate. According to a LIB source, about 60 thugs dressed in black went to the power plant and attempted to shut down power to the estate but were overpowered by police men who were called by the homeowners and resident association of 1008.

Before then, the thugs had tried to disarm the guards attached to estate and when residents and home owners got involved, a few of them were assaulted. They managed to chase the thugs to the admin block and called police re-enforcement. Ukpong took off while some of his thugs were arrested.

Ukpong was the facility manager of the estate until December 5th 2015 when he was relieved of his duties by the Homeowners and residents association of 1004. They are currently in court.

The rapper made a $500k donation to the people of Flint, Michigan, who are suffering from water poisoning. To prove he made the donation, he shared a screen shot of the transaction on social media which showed his account balance, over $13m. I'm sure Floyd Mayweather will be somewhere else

Senate Leader Ali Ndume has responded to rumors of the missing 2016 budget. Speaking to National Assembly correspondents, Ndume said

'The budget cannot be missing. A copy can be laid, it is a symbolic copy, the budget will be in custody of both Chambers. It cannot be stolen, it cannot be missing. Once the budget is laid in the National Assembly, it has become the property of National Assembly,'' he said.

Speaking on why the Senate President, Bukola Saraki visited president Buhari immediately after reports that the budget was missing, Ndume said: '

'Saraki's visit to Villa is for Senate to know the President's priority. We want to see how we can fast track the passage of the budget before the end of February. What is before the Senate is proposal, once the president signs it, it cannot be amended, we can turn the budget upside down, it cannot be missing"he said

Talk about a man with super sperm and no self-control. 31 year old New York Jets star Antonio Cromartie, is expecting his 11th and 12th child with his wife despite having a vasectomy after having his 10th child in 2012 and deciding it was enough.

Anthonio, who fathered 10 kids from 8 different women in 6 different states, when he was just in his twenties, is expecting twins with his wife of five years, former reality star Terricka Carson

Antonio now has more mouths to feed, but thankfully, he signed a four-year, $32 million deal to return to the Jets back in March 2015.

His wife, Terricka said she learned she was pregnant in October 2015 when she went to the hospital because she thought she was having bad menstrual cramps.

"I really thought I was dreaming, even after, I was just in total disbelief," she told Us upon finding out that she actually had babies on the way! I didn't even tell Antonio right away because I didn't think it was possible. I was going back and forth in my head how it could even happen. In my head we were good to go, we were having free sex! I just really thought that his procedure was the best protection you could have at this point."

On how Antonio took the news of more kids, Terricka said
"Originally, he was like, 'Oh, s–t! Are you serious? How did this happen?' It was shocking news for the both of us. It took me a while to process it, but Antonio stood firm and was saying, 'It's God's will.' And he's been excited the whole time."

The couple married in July 2010 and are already parents to daughter Jerzie, 5, and son Jagger, 3.

But how can a man who had vasectomy still able to impregnate a woman. Doctor's error in the surgical procedure or natural reversal?

An American woman hiking in Papua New Guinea with her London-based boyfriend was gang-raped and three of her fingers slashed in a brutal attack along a famous World War II trail, a report said on Wednesday.

PNG police said the pair, both aged 31, were on the Kokoda Track which runs through the jungles of the island state off Australia's northeastern tip when they were attacked and stripped of their belongings including mobile phones, shoes, backpacks and 15,000 kina (US$5,000) in cash. local assistant Police Commissioner Sylvester Kalaut told The National newspaper of the Monday ambush....

"Two expatriate tourists, a male and a female, both 31, were trekking the Kokoda Track and heading towards Templeton Two (a campsite) when they were ambushed by armed men,"The male trekker was tied to a tree and the female tracker was repeatedly raped before three of her fingers were chopped. The incident took place for an hour before they (trekkers) were set free."

Police described the attack as a gang-rape and told the newspaper at least two suspects carrying bush knives and spears were involved. One of them was being held by villagers.

The couple fled to a village and were taken to the lawless Pacific island's capital Port Moresby, where they were given medical attention.

Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed the attack and added that the couple were hiking without a licensed tour operator.

The two superstars have been compared over and over using scores of subjective criteria, but now there's at least one thing that unites them — the number five

While it's tempting to try and compare Lionel Messi and Michael Jordan, it's no easy task.

After Messi won his jaw-dropping fifth Ballon d'Or award on Monday, there were immediate calls to equate that feat with the five NBA MVP Awards that Jordan won with the Chicago Bulls throughout his illustrious career.

But while Jordan's five MVPs are tied for second all-time in the NBA with Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics, one ahead of Wilt Chaimberlain and the still-active LeBron James, and one behind the six won by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Messi's five Ballons d'Or are the most ever. And Messi has some breathing room, too.

In fact, in the history of football, only four other players have even won as many as three — Cristiano Ronaldo (2008, 2013 and 2014), Marco van Basten (1988, 1989 and 1992), Michel Platini (1983, 1984 and 1985) Johan Cruyff (1971, 1973, 1974).

The only question is, if Messi wins a sixth, who will they begin comparing him to then?
